We condemn the shameful scenes in Glasgow on Tuesday night when people of colour were randomly, physically attacked by gangs of masked men dressed in black, meting out collective punishment and bringing racist pogroms to our streets.
Reform UK and Rupert Lowe’s Restore Britain will not condemn these racist gangs, you can be sure.
Instead of focusing on the crime, they capitalise on those crimes committed by people of colour, immigrants or Muslims. That’s their specialism – targeting racial minorities.
That is racism and it distracts ordinary people from seeing who is really draining the wealth of our society and destroying public services.

This is our call:
We call upon the British and Irish States to act immediately so that all undocumented, destitute and migrant people in the legal process in both the UK and Ireland are granted Status Now, as in *Indefinite Leave to Remain. In this way every human, irrespective of their nationality or citizenship can access healthcare, housing, food and the same sources of income from the State as everyone else

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is issuing a stark warning as it finds the asylum system is failing to cope in the face of severe pressure.

Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, said:
“Our report provides an end-to-end snapshot of the entire asylum system, and its findings paint a disturbing picture – at the time of our inquiry, control of it had been all but lost.

Join us for Democracy in Action, an SNN/ LEAP project in partnership with Phoenix — London, South & East, based in Greater London and for people with insecure or precarious immigration status, as right-bearers, and the organisations that support them.
Democracy in Action—a welcoming six-month in-person programme—will strength social citizenship and civic leadership through shared learning and real-world democratic advocacy—connecting and bridging living experiences to decision-makers to bring about change.
Supporting participation:
- All travel expenses to venues will be reimbursed
- Refreshments will be provided in in-person sessions
- Data for online sessions will be reimbursed
